KTU's Web Based Exam Managment System has been scrapped.!

The Web Based Exam Management System of KTU has been scrapped due to involvement of private agency. It was decided in a meeting conducted by senior officials on monday. Education minister P K Abdu Rabb was chaired in the meeting. KTU officials and representatives of students and teachers organisations participated in the meet.

Teachers and students opposed the Examination reform saying that presence of private agency would compromise the secrecy of the Exams. But the KTU officials stated that private agents only supply the software needed for the online exam system and the hardware at exam centres. The meeting decided that the KTU should only conduct online exams only after developing their own software and hardware needed for the exam system.

The BTech and MTech exams are postponed to January.
